Still I get the feeling Bayer are just wanting to get as much out of Bayern as possible I just get that feeling,so many of the reports that I don’t know who to believe..if the lad signs well done if he doesn’t we move on to our next target..

When my source told me Wirtz was wrapped up, I came here and shared what I’d heard. But I also made it very clear that I’d only believe it once it was done and dusted,with a "here we go", even though I trust my source. Transfers are volatile—we all know that—and I never presented it as guaranteed.


The same source told me last week that City had made an approach for Reijnders, that a bid had been submitted and rejected, and that Milan were holding out for a better offer in the region of €65M, just like I reported last here in the forum. This week, multiple outlets reported that figure. So while nothing is done yet, my source was clearly on point about our interest and activity around Reijnders.


I’m not here to pretend to be something I’m not. I shared information I heard, I discuss, and I’m just as aware as anyone that things can change. Just because I pay attention, hear things, connect dots, and talk about football doesn’t mean I’m out here cosplaying as some football oracle or ITK. I am discussing City affairs in a City forum as a City fan. I talk. I speculate. Like literally everyone else here. It’s called discussion. Whether we land Wirtz or Reijnders remains to be seen—but based on what I was told, City are trying. That’s all I’ve ever said. My source though, is super confident. We will see if that confidence is shot down or not.

Whether or not we end up signing any of these players, I trust my source. But I’m not pretending to be some insider—just sharing what I’ve heard, with the proper caveats.

Most on here are sensible enough to understand your passing on what you have heard. I for one am grateful for that but won’t lose any sleep if it doesn’t happen.
Surely that’s what these websites are for.
Keep up the good work for those that are interested. Ignore those that are not.
 
I get the feeling city have been playing this transfer very well, making sure they are being super respectful to leverkusan, leveraging the fact they would prefer him to come to us. Which has contributed to Leverkusan being happy to drive the price up for Bayern while remaining fair to city.

Then minute Bayern try apply pressure to writz city verbally agree a fee with leverkusan calling bayerns bluff on being happy to pay top dollar.

I suspect Bayern are happy in the press to shout about spending what ever it takes but wanted writz to commit to them and only them to force the price down as they don’t actually want any to pay the big big money.

Fuck knows where he ends up but if we don’t get him we can’t say the club didn’t try.
