Florian Wirtz

The bottom line is that social media is not a place of fact. It is a place of gossip and rumour and those producing it get paid for engagement. Clubs employ it for PR purposes and they often create the narrative and apply pressure on deals. It's just like the 'he's a lovely player but we can't talk about him because he is at another club" quotes that we used to get.

Nothing is done until it's announced on the OS. Social media is fun, part of the game, creates interest in quieter parts of the season, but not the be fully trusted.
take me back to a few small bits in the newspaper and Transfer Deadline Day

Thing with Wirts had a look around our campus why they no photos doing the rounds? Did they go when no one was there?

If Wirtz was going to the dippers then either Salah, or Dick van Dyke, or maybe both would have been shipped out to free up funds to afford to buy him and pay him the wages that they would have to pay for a top player .
Instead they renewed contracts on two 30+ year old players as that was the cheaper monetary option, and hope their legs don't give up on them .

city want to do things secretly so if it did happen they would of wanted to do it without anyone finding out no one would of knew it happened had it not been for his parents been pictured at the airport on the way back

Talkshite said bingo getting involved now for the dippers
the media lie that much they cant keep up with their own, so as of yesterday there had been absolutely nothing in the media regarding wirtz to lpool, not a peep where it was well documented that both ours, bayerns and even madrids interest was long standing, then yesterday there was a rumour out of nowhere that he may or may not have met dipper officials for 20 mins in blackpool of all places, and then a couple of hours after that their interest was long standing and they may or may not make a move if he did decide to leave germany which he may or may not do and then this morning there ex-manager is getting involved to steer him to the dippers, yep all sounds very plausible IF you are a moron which most dippers are.

why was there no photos of alonso and the bayer contingent there last month even tho everyone knew they were there, as someone else said we arent in the habit of letting the media etc wander around our training ground and any snaps, footage etc is carefully choreographed, even when players are photographed going for the medicals at mihpa, you see them walking in because the clubs want you too, if they didnt they would be whisked into another entrance not accessible to the public or the media.

Exactly.
Clubs create the narrative, generally.
If they don't want it to get out, and City generally don't, they meet elsewhere, or they use a discrete entrance. They do not brief anyone before the event.
Alternatively, they will walk in through the front door safe in the knowledge that they have, in that moment, created the story.

Liverpool did not meet Florian Wirtz's representatives on Tuesday, despite reports from Germany indicating that the player and his parents flew to England and spoke to officials from both Liverpool and Manchester City. The 22-year-old's future has been a subject of great intrigue and drama over the last week

Hence the liverpool story, this whole story has been created by a single kicker journalist with nothing to back it up and then repeated ad nauseum by others to give it an air of credibility it doesnt deserve and all of them have said enough to create a narrative while saying nothing at all of any substance and at the moment it suits liverpool to leave it be.

Probably the work on Bayern journalists. The games have begun.
