Nope not anymore when you see who we linked with.. would we rather Wirtz for £130mill Or Potentially, Reijnders, Ait Nouri,Cherki, Joan Garcia, Wesley for £150mill.

I'd like wirtz to be fair. Apart form reijnders, no one else is on par with wirtz. Actually, not even reijnders. I dont know, just hurts that he is going there, was really hoping that real madrid link would have gotten stronger but it just disappeared.

I do think it is possible that the club was telling the truth about him being too expensive. That is a lot of money to risk on one player.

The beauty of Cherki is if he doesn't deliver, we can spend around the 40 million he will cost us. If Wirtz isn't a superstar City or any other club will be choking on that fee for years.

Enzo Fernandez, Declan Rice and Caicedo went for £100m+ and 2 of them had never played Europa League football let alone Champions League football

Forest want upwards of £75m for MGW.

You’re correct on all of the above however I would caution that KDB cost 60 and for every KDB there’s a havertz. Everyone thought havertz was the next big thing. Wirtz could be KDB. Or he could be havertz.

Depends how good each player is and only time will tell. Id have rather spent 100 million plus on one top player than buy another Nunes and kalvin Phillips, who also can become hard to shift
