But they don't?What I don’t get is why City don’t just throw in a bid of £125/30 I know he won’t come to us but it will give Leverkuson leverage with Liverpool and make them overpay

I'd like wirtz to be fair. Apart form reijnders, no one else is on par with wirtz. Actually, not even reijnders. I dont know, just hurts that he is going there, was really hoping that real madrid link would have gotten stronger but it just disappeared.Nope not anymore when you see who we linked with.. would we rather Wirtz for £130mill Or Potentially, Reijnders, Ait Nouri,Cherki, Joan Garcia, Wesley for £150mill.

When did Eni Aluko join the mooners? -:)What I don’t get is why City don’t just throw in a bid of £125/30 I know he won’t come to us but it will give Leverkuson leverage with Liverpool and make them overpay
I do think it is possible that the club was telling the truth about him being too expensive. That is a lot of money to risk on one player.![]()
Report: Bayer Leverkusen rejects second offer from Liverpool for Florian Wirtz, still wants €150 million
Trouble in paradise?www.bavarianfootballworks.com
Maybe there is something to the "too expensive" claim after all ;)
We have a pretty big rebuild.I do think it is possible that the club was telling the truth about him being too expensive. That is a lot of money to risk on one player.
Sarcasm the lowest form of wit apparently !And back in the real world in one.....two....three.
The beauty of Cherki is if he doesn't deliver, we can spend around the 40 million he will cost us. If Wirtz isn't a superstar City or any other club will be choking on that fee for years. We have a pretty big rebuild.
Options are Wirtz, or go for Cherki and save the best part of 100m to spend elsewhere on the squad.
Cherki and the extra cash every day of the week for me is the better deal. It's not even close if you think about it.
Someone like Wirtz only makes sense when every other part of the squad is already good. Since we are in a rebuild he doesn’t make as much sense as getting 4 players instead of 1-2.
He has done more in Germany than Bellingham did and he went for £115m.
Enzo Fernandez, Declan Rice and Caicedo went for £100m+ and 2 of them had never played Europa League football let alone Champions League football
Forest want upwards of £75m for MGW.
This is the going rate for top midfielders now because of the lack of quality in the game now.
David Silva and Sergio Aguero would be worth £200m in today's game
Or buying him with the Elastic Courtinio money.I can’t wait for the media and rivals to lump in his wages and say it cost £400m like all the bastards did with Haaland.
But more likely it’ll be celebrated as a world class player coming to the PL and Liverpool doing it in a holistic way.

ny how much they rised ? by 1 ?Apparently dippers going back with a third and final offer of £118m.
Depends how good each player is and only time will tell. Id have rather spent 100 million plus on one top player than buy another Nunes and kalvin Phillips, who also can become hard to shiftWe have a pretty big rebuild.
