I'm inclined to agree with this really.
The majority of traditional number 10's are fading out and not really being replaced in said traditional way. Football moves in cycles, and it looks as though, currently, we're cycling back to stronger, more athletic types who are not essentially the technical geniuses that normally fill the number 10 spot.

That being said, though, I don't doubt that Wirtz could hold his own against the "more athletic types" whilst still performing to a high technical level. Feel the same way about Cherki, too.

This is exactly where I ended up too.

Makes more sense to spread your bets.

Apart from Haaland I don't think we've ever landed the "biggest" name on the transfer market that summer and we've done ok.

As I posted elsewhere we got Gundo, Jesus and Sane for the price of Pogba.

You not going to like this, but he has the most man of the match award in this seasons champions league. His team sucked big time, but wirtz did perform quite good.
 
It's hilarious though that a non name manager that no one knew who he was before he joined Liverpool has a better pull than Klop. I guess some players don't like Klop's personality

If Wirtz was coming to us you would be screaming and telling us how we are winning the league - the same when you told us that pep would never want Cherki and that guy would never join us. Recency bias is a thing I guess. Now he not all that.
