Yes. In exactly the same way that any club has a top amount they are willing to spend on any transfer. We've demonstrated, repeatedly, that we won't go above our valuations. So yep, it's possible. Don’t think it's probable though, even if it would be hilarious for Liverpool to fail in a 1 horse race

i really think liverpool are in it for the trolling, to force our bid up. it would be funny if the bid fails and wirtz ends up in munich next year
 
Anyway, have the dippers signed the bestest number 10 ever in the world, who had the most amazing stats even during his recovery from when his ACL went pop, and is actually worth £200m, so they're getting a bargain because he only ever wanted the scouse?

Slot is more Pep than Klopp, but found a way to get the most from the players he had available with only small tweaks to the way they used to play. Didn't always look convincing but they got over the line, mainly due to us having a deserved year off and Arsenal being Spursy.

I expect he'll want to start to change the way they play, so we could be competing for a few players. Will be interesting if we get Pep 2, as our styles may start to converge which could make the matches this year unbelievable or unbelievably boring.
 
As someone who did not want Wirtz, i am smiling, my interest finished when we signed Marmoush, two players who play in the same place, but City did want him, he wants Real, his family want Bayern, his club want the money, City are the only club that put the money up, so he came to talk, and took the piss, agents fee`s buyout clauses, and gigantic wages believed to have caused fury in the board room, to the point City did not retain an interest, they cancelled all interest.
As for liverpools interest, that started from SKY who are using it as a stick to beat City with, meanwhile Bayern are willing tp pay the wages but not the price are sitting comfortably
