Florian Wirtz

This should be fun,..or maybe the wrong term, from our side!?I’d speculate that not even once, will we hear any of these cunts say ever,..100 million pounds Florian Wirtz!?…Nevermind the real amount!?We all know it’s too true,..and absolutely f’kin pathetic.
Come on.

You know they only refer to the price tag if they play for City.

I was actively listening out for them to refer to Rice as the one hundred and five million pounds man. But. No. It was either Declan or Rice.

The price they paid should be reported in old Spanish Pesos.

Why not just ask yourself why it was changed ?
For what earthly reason would they do that? Aside from the reasons I’ve stated that you think are bollocks ..
Disagree by all means but at least think about your response before you wrote it down…
Maybe for the ease of using the same term and trophy for the womens and mens game. Other than that I don't know and can't really be bothered worrying why. Anyway won't derail the thread with it anymore

Whether or not it’s hurting anyone is irrelevant, if you applied this logic to everything else, where would we be..?
Well said. However all the nutters will be on your back now.

Skys narrative has begun the scouse rats have got a bargin because they “only” paid £117m for him & he’s “ only” on £240,000 a week

Man of the match in men's football.

Mam of the match in womens football. That's if they have kids, if the don't it's woman of the match.

Player of the match you say?

Fuck off I say.
What if they're only 16? Change it to Teenager of the Match?
Or you could call it maybe something like Player of the Match, as everyone in the pitch aside from officials are players, that way you could use the same term for every game at every level for both mens and women's football.
The only drawback then would be outrage from the snowflakes who don't want anything to change so they can continue existing in their rage filled safe space bubbles.

Plus it aligns with Player of the year. Was anyone getting upset and calling Phil Foden man of the season? Rebels without a cause.

I have no problem with efforts to make football more progressive, but the appeal of man of the match is the alliteration and assonance. 'Player of the match' just sounds worse. Even 'player of the game' would be an improvement.

It's like referee's assistant instead of linesman. It's just more of a mouthful.

They are realy trying to tell the world that he is the greatest signing ever and will be the greatest player ever.

He has a long way to go to ber even close to KDB and Foden we will see and to those that sre compering him to Cherki , lets just wait and see who will be better buy I have a sneaky fealing Cherki will be the next super star not Wirtz but let them show us next season.

You have to be joking. Just sound butthurt imo.

2 x bundesliga player of the year
5 x potm this seasons champion league (the most)
Apart from salah only player to have double digits assist and goals for 2 seasons.
Intergral part of invincible season
I mean I could go on forever with his accomplishment, he got all of this while still being 21 years old. We wanted him, and he rejected us. Chin up and let's move on with dignity.
Yeah he's elite, and anyone saying Cherki is better is just coping. There's a reason everyone was in for Wirtz over Cherki, he's quite simply better. I expect Cherki will do very well but people are doing too much hyping him after 1 good season in Ligue 1. Wirtz is much more proven, and a plug in and play type player with his off the ball tendencies.

I think Pep will be smarting by allowing the dippers to be so far ahead, he'll want to put up more of a fight this time: even if it goes to the last day, down to the wire, at least we'll have gone toe to toe with the winners.

'Alternatively, several sources, including those in Germany, have indicated that Wirtz enquired about how long Guardiola would remain in charge given his contract is due to expire in 2027. According to the German publication Bild, the Catalan was not emphatic and so it was Wirtz who turned down City, not the other way round.'

Pep not being contractually committed could be a problem going forward.

Wirtz is more proven, but that’s not to say Cherki can’t go on to prove himself equal or better. He certainly has the ability, if he puts his mind to it and has the positional intelligence to learn from Pep he may turn out to be the better player.

He's as contractually committed as he needs to be. We've already proved this summer it’s not a problem.

Yeah this is true, but Wirtz over Cherki is a no brainer as things stand. No doubting Cherki's talent. I thought Pep might swerve him due to work rate but he obviously feels he can work around that/and improve it. Cherki is an exciting signing but people are doing too much with him. I think he will need an adaption period.

Not a problem most of the time, but it looks like it was in this case. In cases where it's close, details like this matter. Nevermind, Cherki is a very good fall back option.
