I don't like this lineup.
1. it shuttles Bernie outside.
2. It starts Lewis over Nunes and Kova which I don't agree with.
3. Alvarez as been off from.

4. Finally, it's new age Pep. Which I'm not the biggest fan of. I prefer the old school Pep who overstaffed his teams with mofirlders.

The new look Pep now prefers an over representation of defenders.
Lilo or someone needs to let him know this infatuation with Simone has run its course.

We want the old Pep back.

I agree with you re Nunes who deserved to start after his last two performances however I think Alvarez starting is a good call. The Brazilians will be wary of him and he'll be bang up for it.

Maybe the plan is to bring Nunes on in the second half if needed, his athleticism could be key when the opposition is tiring.

It’s the spot KDB would have in the XI otherwise I guess.
 
I'm going out on the beer straight after the match so if we win they better not spend ages pissing about before giving out the trophy

I agree. light midfield again and its been our undoing all season. Hopefully stones is a bit sharper and him stepping in gives us the control we miss.
 
Kovacic and Nunes should be playing this. Ideal opportunity to put them in against decent opposition. They are needed and need to be upto scratch, both are showing good signs of late. Makes no sense to drop them both out for this. Going to be screwed again when they're our only options and pep still can't trust them.

I just want to see us at least try to score with our attacking play and not just play keep ball, That would be nice.

Time to secure the first ever English quintuple.
