Alex is a good midfielder, Leo good young CB both brazilians, uhmm i play robinho upfront as he scores a lottt, also managed to get ribery for 15 mil somehow

I just bought the game, I was 3rd in January at the end of the demo, ironically I had got knocked out Carling Cup by scum.
My advice would be a 4-4-2 with Adebayor and Tevez they just kept scoring a bag full, play a diamond midfield or 3 in the middle, depending if you play Robbie or Petrov with Barry, Wright-Phillips and De Jong. My signings were a bit of a failure, Maxi Rodriguez and Van der Vaart. Lusiao sures up the back though, I think you should by him.
Although now I've bought the game I'm bottom of Ligua Alacante (?) with Valencia B, considering the media prediction was 2nd from bottom and we've only played 10 games I've not been fired. My backroom staff leak more stories than a boat made of Swiss cheese, and the strikers couldn't score in a brothel.

I'm in my 4th season at City. I've won FA Cupx2, CLx3, World Club Cupx3, Been made England manager won the Euro's pretty much everything but not finished higher than 5th in the league, its doing my head in. Earning £125,000 per week ( nearly 100xmore than my asst) and he is quality.
Got a load of top quality coaches, scouts etc.

Good Youngsters: Mads Albaek, Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng, Fausto Rossi
Got to look out for stupid things in the formations like your wingers swapping position with each other.

I got bored of playing with city as i wanted a challenge, i only played about 17 games and lost once so i decided to play as county because i wanted a challenge
In my first season i won the Johnstones Paint trophy and came about 9th
Second season i was run away winner with Fabien Brandy from the scum my top scorer
Third season i finished 3 points off the playoffs in the championship
I would post more about my team but i dont have my save game because i dont have FM on this laptop and my other one i being repaired but in my first season i had David Ball and Alex Nimley on loan as well as Ashley Grimes on a free as my strikers ( playing a 4-4-2 with high wingers so it is classed as a 4-2-4)
Another few good players you can get for free is Craig Barr who plays at RB, Martin Hansen a 19 year old keeper from Liverpool and David Armstrong a CB. Ive signed alot more but i cant remeber them lol.
By my third season i had alot more quality around the pitch but still had my young players as well such as David Ball and Martin Hansen (who is starting to come into his own now) I signed Michael Ball on a free, Rob Earnshaw on a free and as well who is proving to be a good signing from what i can remeber.

Tevez got me 44 goals in his first season in the league, i got to 100 points, then retained the league the season after and won the league cup and community shield too.
i also just go and sign every good 15 or 16 year old and stick them in my academy

I'm in a similar boat mate but with Exeter in League One. Predicted to finish bottom, paper thin and shit squad, ground that holds 8,000 (only 2,000 of which seated), only 2 coaches (both of them still regular players) and just a £35k transfer budget. Managed to win first round of the Carling Cup 1-0 against a good Championship side (can't remember who though but it was away aswell) on the Tuesday and then on the following Tuesday got beat 3-0 off fucking League Two Northampton in the Johnstones Paint Trophy! Going pretty much the same way in the league too. Think I'm on about 14 points from 14 games and about 17th in the league.simonr555 said:Sakho's quality!! Usually I try to play good on the eye attacking football but in this game I fancied a change and I'm playing defensive football whilst trying to play good football when going forward. Had mixed results so far as I said before. Hoping to finish being quite easily safe this season and build from there.
