That's what's happening to me too, i have even tried ringing to get activated, however after it's processed it says it unable to activate at this moment.
 
I've got to the same bit, keeps telling me I'm not online, when I blatently am. Bollocks to it I'll give it a few hours and try again later.
 
Im the same. Benn like this for the past hour or so. What ever happened to installing the game and pressing play. I have even tried to call them but it is engaged.

Just tried again a few times but it's still not working. As far as I can see it's been like this most of the day.

THIS REALLY IS A FUCKING FARCE! I DID'NT PAY £30 FOR A GAME THAT WONT COME ON.
sports interactive will be losing cutomers next year unless they sort this shite out!
 
I managed to get on SI games forum and they have made this announcement - good luck. My game didnt even arrive in the post today. I think I'm glad about it now tho

If you are having trouble deciphering some characters in the license key on your Football Manager 2009 packaging.

Characters O and 0 as well I and 1 are printed in a very similar manner.

To help with this please refer to the following link:

Finally got it to work, just need to keep trying to activate the key. Don't get me wrong, been trying since 3 this afternoon, however the servers seem to easing now.
 
The fact they've put DRM on it and restricted you to 5 installs is wank. For that reason I feel vindicated in torrenting it.

Apparently not. The only thing being rectified in-time will be the game freeze issue.

Injuries will be addressed in a patch about a month doen the line I believe.

SI claimed that the injuries will be compared to the injury table and adjusted in time for relase, but given how the release has gone so far, i am not sure i believe this.

they are also supposed to fix the keyboard issues, including the 2nd mouse button issue on Mac.

caicedo and gelson fernandes are world beaters and Kompany and SWP are sorta mediocre? i think not. Tal ben Haim is mediocre, at least they got that right.

nonetheless it's a good ride and i like the 3d, and a lot of features are better than 08.

incidentally i let the game give me 55 M to spend at the pre season (i figure if caicedo's not a turd it must be an alternate universe anyway) and i too bought Arshavin, Diarra and Srna. I got Marcelo as left back. also bought Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who we were apparently trying to buy on the last day of the transfer window IRL.

some other significant additions include Mario Balotelli (i doubt he'd be for sale IRL).
 
Is the 3D better in the proper game than the Demo? Heard a few people say that it runs a lot quicker, hopefully so!

Getting the game later so will be on it tonight
