It matters not,and we'll never find out,he is going nowhere.
As Swales used to sayI cant see the point in speculating about Foden's valuation when he isn't for sale.
Everybody has a price. The question is what price would be high enough for the club to even entertain the thought, and for the fans to go 'you know what, he's a once in a generation player for us, but that offer is too good to reject', instead of the club facing one almighty backlash.
My guess is that the figure starts at around £200 million.
Not even close
That scenario only takes place if Phil himself decides he wants to leave. You think breaking the world record transfer fee for Phil, which was and still is an insane price in itself, spent on a guy who at the time was the third best player in the world, is not enough to at least entertain the club and get some negotiations going?
Please.
I totally agree and at some stage in the near future maybe his next contract negotiations his weekly wages need to reflect his market value. We have to do right by him.The key issue with Phil is that City must never take his loyalty for granted... sure he’s a City fan, came up through the ranks and clearly loves the club but he will have every major club in the world talking in his ear... we have unearthed a gem who’s got the world at his feet. We need to take very very good care of him.
