    In the 80s my nan used to give me a lemon chopped in half with a bowl of sugar to dip into. Loved it

    Luncheon meat. omg. awful stuff.
    Egg dip. Raw eggs whipped up in a bowl. Dip in bread then fry the bread both sides. Staple in our household.

    Thatcher wasn't the first milk snatcher, our beloved unions forced us to eat these foul tablets instead of the daily third of a pint
    we were also forced to sit half naked in goggles around ultra violet lamps and eat sago.
    It's amazing so many of us baby boomers survive to endure the opprobrium on here

    I still have banana butties

    In fact I make a proper decent toastie with two pieces of rye bread, peanut butter on one slice, Nutella on the other, get that going in butter in a pan, slice a banana, put that on each slice and close up for a proper tasty toastie.
