It's probably a decent well paid lawyer stepping in to make sure their minted client isn't exposed looking like the hood rat they really are.

Three people involved, one had a gun and two were being threatened with it; one of the victims also being threatened with blackmail.

Why do you think it isn't being made public? Whatever the blackmail related to would then be made public and the victim(s) probably don't want that.

All just supposition on my part.

It's always supposition with me, I'm always surprised by the changes to the laws in this country.

But, I would have thought someone who wields a gun, he himself should not be able to have anonymity.
 
Sound like a story you’d here on The Upshot or Ben Fosters podcast and they all laugh about it whilst having a beer

Such a strange story. It will be interesting to see how it pans out
