Both Best and Kendall liked a pint, of course. Of interest to those who believe in Personology. That is amazing! I would never have got that and its well worth googling for those still unaware
It leads on to another strange but true
In 1964 the semi finalists for the FA cup were West Ham, Man United, Preston and Swansea
United had won it the year before and as it happened the two strongest were drawn together, them and West Ham featuring Hurst Peters and Moore - West Ham progressing
That led to Howard Kendall for Preston being the youngest to play in the Cup Final, but if United had progressed to the final, then George Best would have shared the record, as he and Kendall had the same birthdate. Best hadn't played in the 63 final and broke through into the first team that season
No shit, Sherlock ?Arthur Conan Doyle was a goalkeeper for Portsmouth

Not football related, but do you know that the guy who played Les Battersby in Coronation Street found one of the Rippers bodies?Peter Sutcliffe, also known as the Yorkshire Ripper, was a Leeds United supporter. Leeds United fans chanted slogans at matches, such as "There's only one Yorkshire Ripper" and the notorious "12-nil" taunt directed at the police.
I’ve not looked for anymore replies but I think it ended his career. Is 6 true. Not heard that before
Not football related.Have I missed the answer to the Howard Kendall question? Jimmy Nail?

I think everybody used to work forcunard back in the day………..The guy who founded Napoli. Or as it was then called Napoli football and cricket club (I think that’s what it was called) was William Poths, he worked for Cunard.
They should have more likes! What about S'underland?
Football club, Bradford City, were the first ever Rugby League Champions in 1896, when they were known as Mannigham. They left rugby league to become a football club in 1903, and they won the FA Cup in football in 1911.Dai Davies is the only player to have appeared in both the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final and the FA Cup Final. He won the Challenge Cup with Swinton in 1900 and played in the FA Cup Final with Bolton Wanderers in 1904, where they were runners-up.
They play in West Bridgeford, as I was recently advised.Go on.
