Steve Macnanamany is one of the worst for poor grammar. Often, he will refer to a substitue player who's "Just came on the pitch" or "He should've went up the pitch".

I think one of the biggest mistakes was the introduction of co-commentators. They simply take the focus away from the actual match and engage in prolonged, inane banter. Watching a bit of last Sunday's tie Spurs v Newcastle, the commentator was rambling on about the last match to end 0-0 which was played 40+ years ago. He then proceeded to name all the famous players at that time Chivers, MacDonald etc. who didn't score, Bizarre!
