Football hardmen and City.

I know he is a bit controversial on here at the moment, almost afraid to type his name ;)

Wasn't Roy Paul someone you didn't mess with?

And we mustn't forget Buzzer. Hard as nails, was our club ambassador, in his day. He could mix it with the best of them.

Buzzer was great. The tradition in them days was for the full back to kick the winger ( proper kicks as well, it was very difficult to get sent off in those days ) however Buzzer used to kick the full back first. Thinking about it he is just what the current side needs!

Not in the same league as the old school but Sir Joseph Barton (thanks by the way) liked a midfield ruckus. In our current team Lescott is a bit soft but is a big unit

I posted this in another thread but on reflection maybe it should have gone in here. City v Leeds 77/78 and Check out Gordon Mcqueen land a corking right hand on his own keepers chin on 57 seconds. To be fair David Harvey just doesn't blink an eyelid.

Watched City since 1973 - hardmen
Doyle, Lee, Summerbee, Watson, Asa, Morrison, Gow , McDonald, De Jong and Corrigan- though their Tommy was harder than Joe!!
