Barca and Madrid received much more in TV rights than all the other clubs, this gave them an advantage for many years over all other clubs bar the odd intrusion of Athletico Madrid. Playing weaker domestic matches undoubtedly aided their Champions League chance.

I also read in the last couple of days how the Premier League is not competitive as the teams outside the top six can’t beat the title contenders, and get this, if you want unpredictability watch La Liga or Bundesliga games, I shit you not, fucking unbelievable.
