Fat Sam on talk shite saying he finds it incredible that Villa have new owner's who can't spend money because of FFP.
Surely he must realise that is FFP operating exactly as intended.
What this smear campaign completely fails to grasp is that having a mate on the board of another firm and calling them and saying,
"hello Jim, we're in a bit of a spot - any chance you can bung us an extra couple of million on that sponsorship deal"
is NOT illegal.
Moreover, it's not even against FFP rules, and the extra couple of million is perfectly allowable under FFP rules!
It would not be allowable if "Jim" worked for a company controlled by City, i.e. they were a related party, as defined by international accounting standards. But this is not the case, as confirmed by independent auditors, both ours and UEFA's. The tests are objective and objectively the relevant sponsors are not related parties.
So we've done nothing wrong and there is nothing to see here. That doesn't get many clicks nor suit rummenigge's purposes though, does it.
As I assume, the one-in-4-years CWC is a way to create the tournament as soon as possible, without interfering with the CL. After initial period, FIFA would propose a CL-like competition and invite all clubs to take part on a very attractive terms (even in its 1st year the clubs are going to earn more in a month than in CL in a year!). It would mean the death of CL.
And take a note that it's going to be a planetary competition (imagine if SA clubs start to earn CWC money! Revolution!)
So I guess the Cartel attacks the targets that are visible, i.e. Infantino and City. They don't have anything but stolen mails and PR tools to stop the CWC.
Infantino has already hit back, promising to ban all the players taking part in the Superleague from FIFA tournaments.
Take a look. It's a serious war waging before our eyes, not just Bayern being jealous.
