What amuses me is the notion that we've just come along with enormous wealth and blown everyone out of the water with bids and wages for megastars. Apart from the early dizziness of Robinho, Berbatov and Kaka, all our signings have been fairly modest (relatively speaking) and most could have been achievable for top 6 PL teams. KdB and Sane were obviously high profile in the Bundesliga but not huge here; we pissed on Bayern rags' chips by getting those 2 instead of them going there for peanuts - I suspect der spiegel is the German equivalent of our mirror i.e. a scum / dipper fanzine but for Bayern instead, that's why they are on a mission.

If Der Spiegel was such a great news magazine as they claim to be they should write about why FFP is illegal and wrong in the first place. Only therefore it was possible for us and PSG to wiggle out of it. It borders on the perverse to turn this into us being best mates with Infantino and co.
I recon we will see Infantino in 109 booing the champions league anthem and smoking in the bogs. He is most welcome on match days, get him on Value Gold.

It's going to replace the Champions league apparently.If it goes ahead and our regular season will be a series of matches against the so called elite of Europe, then that is me finished with regular match going.
I'd say the timing is mischievous.
Whilst I agree we often get some stupid articles in the build up to a derby, this is clearly not the case with this story. It’s a bit bigger than that.
