Hahaha
And remember they quickly changed the rules again when the Milan clubs got bought ? Suddenly, they made rules that could accomodate investment by new owners.
The truth is City and PSG should have never been sanctionned if FFP rules were honest and not moving according to the (not so) hidden agenda.
I really think there would be less problem with FFP if it was enforced honestly.
I'll take the example of PSG. QTA gives 180 M€ to PSG. UEFA FFP says they'll agree for a value of 100 M in their calculation. It could stay there but no. After lobbying by Tebas, Bayern, Juve and co., they decide it is worth 58 M€. It could stay there but no. They apply that value retroactively which fucks the club that had committed the only wrong of working with the value set by UEFA years before.
It is terribly injust and dishonest. PSG feels cheated because UEFA renege on the agreed value and is in risk of failing the break even rule. If they knew the value would be lower, they might have done deals differently.
On the other hand, the other clubs are right to feel PSG cheated because their sponsorship is later deemed overvalued.
And now, we have a 3rd attempt to devalue the same sponsorship after 1 year audit with 2 external auditing companies "certified" by UEFA. So then again, it feels like the fair value they had agreed is wrong while there is nothign new in that case. If you even think about it, the value of the sponsorship should not go down but up since PSG brand value is increasing with more fans worldwide, more kits sold and stars like Neymar and Mbappé.
In the end, either side (pro PSG or anti PSG) feels cheated due to bent rules.
While FFP is inherently wrong imo because it prevents investment by the owner, the way it is used is even more wrong and disgusting. It reminds me of the use of VAR that can be manipulated to help one team or another acoording to your motive.
Karl and Uli would be my bet or maybe David, or a fella called Sandro... or all of themI do wonder if in the course of the investigation into football leaks whether it will emerge that Mr. Pinto was simply attempting to blackmail clubs or agents with his information or was he a hired gun.
If he was hired, who did the hiring?
The guy is a wankstain, he's already been laughing at our expense on his Twitter chat with Nick Harris. He's basically made his mind up that all these hacked emails are true and we should be punished. Wether he agrees with FFP or not, that's irrelevant to him, we've broke rules that UEFA have set out.
He's a ****.
It couldn't be that Rui "public interest" Pinto has tried to blackmail City, could it?
A fellow's got to earn an honest crust somehow. Unless he was doing out of altruism we are left with hacking for extortion or because he was being paid to do it.
I'd love to have a gander at his bank statements, see how he supported himself.
