Started a game with City. Changed a few things in the editor first though, i.e some player attributes. They gave Balotelli 17 for dirtiness so reduced that a little and improved his work rate and team work as I think they were a bit harsh on him (4 and 5 respectively) - I didn't improve it by much though. Gave Guidetti a better potential rating (-9). Didn't do much else.
Signed Paulo Dybala and Lucas Ocampos, they both got granted work permits to join, but when they did join it said they didn't have work permits?! Bit confused, had to loan them out to that Belgian side. Annoyed me as I reckon it'll stunt their progression, was planning on getting the older heads to tutor them etc. I'm hoping Dybala is a long term replacement for Tevez.
Apart from them two I only signed Christian Eriksen (10m) and Romulo (8.75m) plus two young regens. Sold quite a lot of players, kept hold of Weiss and Guidetti. The first team hasn't changed apart from selling Kolo and promoting Boyata and Rekik.
Did the treble first season (league, FA cup and CL, plus the charity shield). Got knocked out of League Cup first time of asking by Watford. Just about to start second season now with a 4-0 win in the charity shield over United : ).
I'm quite aware its a piece of piss managing City, but since I got the game around 8 months ago I've not actually managed them properly, and I fancied a bit of fun after doing numerous seasons with Athletic and 'Gladbach. I made it my vow not to spend over 10m on one player, aim is to get us making profit before I do that. We had a 52m loss last season despite doing the treble! I'm only at the start of August and the expenditure is already dangerously close the income. : (
