Football NOW Needs, Technoligy..

How did Dunne not t**t Henry at the end when he sat down next to him?

Gallas and Henry both looked sick with shame whenever the camera focused on them after the goal. For Henry it looks like he just had the worst 15 minutes of his life and his apology to Dunne at the end appeared genuine, which is probably why Dunne accepted it. Some players just don't care but I think he'll regret that for a long time.

The result won't change so he's still going to the World Cup and Ireland aren't - I'd hope a minimum three game ban and, if I was in charge a ban for the entire finals.

Re: Football NOW Needs, Technology..

you don,t need technology for a decision like that, bet your back teeth that ref as got his ticket to south africa now, and i bet mr pratini has sorted it? if i was lucky and gifted enough to play for my country and that happened to me i want to punch henry not shake is hand and i certainly wouldn,t, well done mr pratini you are the curse of decent football?

I am probably missing the point but why are people going mental at Henry? You cant expect him to turn around and say "no it hit my hand, dont put us through to the world cup finals"
Please explain :?

If football introduces techonolgy then it needs to be brought across the whole of the game.

From the world cup to premier league to north west counties league.

Not sure about the technology, but if the game was played like a UEFA Cup game with those 2 additional referees, on the bye line, they would have seen that and ruled the goal out.

They are trialling the 6 officials in the Europa Cup, that wouldve worked today. All the officials are miched (sp?) up, so there would be no delay.

Football has no honour, no integrity and it is, imho, run by corrupt officials. Sadly it spoils the game for the ordinary fan, while those in charge load their bank accounts. They do not want fairness, they do not care about the fans, they just want money and more money.
Correct and it mirrors life in general sadly!

There is nothing quite like hypocritical, self-righteous indignation.
On Saturday the ball will bounce of Bellamy last for a goal kick in the 92nd minute, he and most of your away fans will scream corner, Ref and linesman will be conned, a quick corner will be taken, Toure will score, ref will blow seconds later and a famous 1-2 win will be rejoiced over and over by your fans and the media. Rafa might even get the sack over it . But will any of you care, will you heck.

We all collude in it with the players,we all want to win at all costs and get embarrassed later but only after we pick up the winners medal.

That's a crock of shit and you know it... Plenty of higher standards the top clubs have to adhere to that smaller ones don't - pitch heating equipment for a start.

Rugby, American Football and Tennis have all done it so football has no excuse.

Bang on the money there. You've summed up modern day football in one!
