Football NOW Needs, Technoligy..

Technology would have proved that Given brought down Anelka for a clear penalty.

However the reaction of Platini will be interesting as he usually has a lot to say, perhaps the Henry hand ball might shut him up for a while?

If football introduces techonolgy then it needs to be brought across the whole of the game.

From the world cup to premier league to north west counties league.
Your sort of right but look at Rugby League they only use a video ref on a game thats live. Clubs lower down the leagues simply couldn't afford the technology

It wasn't a penalty, Given never touched him. Anelka dived.

It would have taken 10 seconds to review that goal, if we had been employing video evidence. Why the fuck people say it would stop the flow of the game. Would it fuck.

To be honest, Sky show replays of such incidents in seconds, surely the easiest way forward is for the 4th official (i mean what else does he do apart from being abused by Whisky face) to look at the replay and communicate with the ref. As i said, it takes seconds to see a replay.

None of this 6+refs crap, as again any one of them can make an error, the easiest way is 4th official communicating with the ref after watching a replay.

Shame it happened as i thought the ref had a great game upto that point, didnt fall for any of the diving etc but even the best refs can make errors which is why we need video technology

I have never ever been in favour of any sort of interference in the Sport I love. This is not Rugby League, this is not Tennis.

I got in from work just in time for the 7.30am " Sky Sports News" and I saw this outrage.

Now, for the first time I really feel the need for the use of Video Technology. All the arguements I previously used have gone out of the Window after this event.

" It evens itself out over the course of the season" Not now.

"The game should be the same whether it's England at Wembley or the Red Lion in the local Sunday League. Not Now.

It would disrupt the flow of the Game" Not now.

I really think what happened in Paris will play the defining role in changing the Game.
