There’s quite a few musician footballers. Our very own Leighton Baines used to take his guitar everywhere with him and Sergio Ramos, Alisson, Alex Scott and Patrick Bamford all play as well. Balotelli, Firmino, Cantona, Alexis Sanchez, Chris Woods and Roland Nilsson all play the piano, Petr Čech is a drummer and Norberto Solano plays the trumpet.

Also Carlo Ancelotti is a bit of a foodie. His dad is a cheese maker so it’s not surprising.

Frank Clark was apparently a guitarist. He could have started a band when he left us and called it the 5th column.

Gareth Farrelly, who played for Everton, Villa and other clubs, is now a lawyer and CAS arbitrator.

I was at a wedding recently and met Daniel Nardiello, who started his career at OT then went round a few clubs as a striker. He now works for a Wealth Management company who specialise in sportspeople.
