"Footballing Lesson"

What's the lesson, then? Keep six in the midfield when 2 down?

It was frustrating to watch and I couldn't help but curse, "Typical, typical, typical, typical f•ckin City"

I was going to say maybe the hair transplant was a brain transplant but he's obviously as thick as ever. Him gloating about Sunday would be like us going on Inter forums saying we gave them a footballing lesson in the Dublin Super Cup. The Charity Shield was a good work out and the fact we gave a poor showing will hopefully provide a kick up the arse for the management and players.

There is not a city fan, player, website or forum that wouldn't be gloating today if the roles were reversed. Not only to come back from 2-0 down, but to peg the opposition back in their own half for the majority of the game, scoring a sublime 2nd goal with a Barcelona-esque one touch passing move that gave the defenders twisted blood. If it was Balotelli making those comments everyone would be giving him a pat on the back.

Glad you lot could interpret that high pitched scouse squeak - only the dogs in our house could hear him properly

He's right.

Now pin this and the "bad guys" bullshit from the Sun to the dressing room wall and don't take them down until the title has been won.

While what Rooney has said isn't complete tripe, because, for much of the match they were better than us and pushed us back, I feel that to call it a 'footballing lesson', is really taking what happened a bit too far.

How can you give a 'footballing lesson' to a team who you were 2-0 down to? No matter how well you were playing, what does it say about you when you find yourselves 2-0 down to a team who you were all over for most of the first half? To have scored 2 goals past a team who claim to have given us a footballing lesson is quite good going, in my opinion.

Secondly, it's not as if Hart was that busy. 4 shots on target, 3 of which were goals. Hardly Barcelona-esque stats those are they? How exactly can he say they have 'took us apart' when they had the same number of shots on target as we did? If they'd beaten us by 3, 4, 5 etc then maybe they would have took us apart, but one shot on target apart from the goals isn't the stuff of taking teams apart.

I think he has got 'dominating possesion' mixed up with 'tearing apart', to be perfectly honest. With the amount of the ball they had, they COULD have took us apart, but they DIDN'T.

If you want to see a footballing lesson Wayne, watch the Champions League final again.

THIS.

sky-mutv biased wankers

I've just had a thought. Based on the utter contempt and hatred we have for the guy, I wonder if the real reason Rooney didn't join City was because it was actually US who sent the message "Join City and you're dead" ;-)
