Footballing priorities for City in the next batch of games

Ait Nouri isn't coming back into the team just because we spent £30m on him. At the end of the day, O'Reilly has shown himself to arguably be more of a competent fullback in this team than Rayan has and until Rayan can prove otherwise, Nico should not be dropped.

I think Cherki could be a gamechanger. We need more creativity and goals and I think putting him on the right wing will free up Foden and Tijani even more..

Doku as far as I am concerned has the left wing nailed down, and neither Marmoush or Savio should displace him there unless for rotation.

I think once Marmoush is fit, you will see Haaland rested in a few games and we will go to a false 9 system in some of the "easier" games.

And have a full squad players with no injuries. Then the results will look after themselves.
As for booing our team.
I don't miss any home tie and xant recall booing that aimed at the players ive heard it at match officials.
Our away fans are second to none so would be surprised if they had booing our team. CTID
 
On current form, without further injuries, this might be a good run for us, but I would have said the same at this time a year ago. Fingers crossed….
 
Somehow we've managed to get ourselves into a good league position, and one that'll put the wind up the top four in the table ..... we need to build on it, and keep this going.

To be fair the way we defend at the moment, I do not think we have a lot of 1-0 results in us, the way it is looking it will be us winning by a big margin, or taking the lead then panic sets in and a draw or a narrow defeat
 
I trust Pep to get performances out of this side. Right now it's results. Then the confidence will come. We still need to eradicate those spells where we pass it about with no cutting edge and where we are under pressure and can't keep the ball.

We want to unleash Haaland but we also need to retain that dominance with the ball. It's a fine balance, and it will take time.

We have some tough games coming up, for me I will measure it in terms of where we are rather than specific results.

Marmoush needs to cover Haaland not play on the left. Cherki has to be eased in either wide or to cover Foden. Kovacic for Reijnders would give us the balance we need to see games out, I think his return will be huge.

If we are within 3-4pts of top and in the top 8 of the CL by the next International break, we should all start feeling like we are very much in for a shout of winning the big ones this season.
 
Actually, as an update to my previous post, I want us to put in a good 90 minutes. We have had excellent moments and periods, we've had good defensive games and good attacking games. We had an excellent half at Brentford. But I want a complete performance. If we can get a performance in the run or games listed I think we look good for the season. If we still look patchy in November then I do think Arsenal's boring consistency might get them over the line.
