Its not a bold statement really, thay have a duty to liase with the police on these days as part of their licence.

If Virgin leaves 1000s of their customers at Euston its the police who will deal with it.

And then its not like its the first time this has happened either.
 
no way would the Police allow trains to go leaving hundreds of pissed up city and united fans in London. going to be bad enough as it is.
