no it wasnt ... the goater goal was in the kk promotion season. we drew 0-0 with gillingham in the year we played them at wemberlee

Yep , it's all about personal choice , and there's no doubt that Goaters goal in that Gillingham clip had a touch of genuis about it , both in it's build up , and its execution.

But for me the most stunning City goal ever was Jim Melroses unbelievable volley from around the halfway line against Notts County at Maine Road in the mid-eighties ..... i can find no trace of it on youtube .... but take it from me it WAS special!

went to both games at Gillingham too....that's what getting old does for ya!
Still remember thinking we would beat them easily though, wonder why that was?!

Mine too, looked all over for a clip myself but never found one, was stood in the corner of the kippax ( what ended up the Gene Kelly) and watched it sail in, class goal.

Re the clip, what I love about it most is that Ali didn`t just back-heel it, it was like he flicked it up with his heel, superb stuff.
