For or against flares/smoke bombs?

No.
They're a pyrotechnic and need to ignite to operate. Would only be a matter of time before someone got badly hurt with some of the clowns about.
In saying that grenades for some matches :)

Why pay a fortune for a ticket to a sporting event of any description and then want to have your view obscured by smoke?

Ha ha at least the smoke eventually blows away, i paid a fortune for me and my son at a carling cup semi final at Anfield only to find ourselves right at the back and the far goal at the kop obcured ALL GAME !!

Fans usually let of the smoke bombs/flares before games anyway.

Personally i find it hard to be against smoke bombs/flares as ive been to a few continental games where they have been hundreds of flares and it looks great, perhaps its the different culture etc. and i have italian friends who are into this sort of thing and they are definately not thugs
and im not having a go at anyone whos against them, personal choice really'

Also in places like Italy and Germany they have ends where like minded fans congregate and let of flares, waves huge flags and bang drums, and if people dont like it they have 2 long sides to choose from, the other end usually reserved for away fans, we dont have that sort of thing in England.
Yes of course they can be dangerous, but considering how common they are on the continent and beyond its surprising how little the injuries they are. I would be fireworks on Nov 5TH AND new years eve cause more injuries.

Not health and safety this and illegal that.

Purely on creating atmosphere, are you for them?

Yes or no?

Yes

This thread is pointless
It is against the law to take a smoke bomb or flare into a football stadium, people have been arrested recently for doing it.
If you think the law in relation to smoke bombs/flares is going to change anytime soon you're more stupid than i thought. If anyone takes one into the ground and gets arrested/banned do me a favour don't come on here whinging about it.

The point I'm making is lets concentrate on things that are achievable not pie in the sky ideas that aren't going to happen anytime soon.

Theyve legalised it in Noway <a class="postlink" href="http://www.ultras-tifo.net/photo-news/1993-stromsgodset-start-27102013.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.ultras-tifo.net/photo-news/1 ... 02013.html</a>

Its a non issue in this country anyway, how many smoke/flares do you see in premier league matches? While this goes on regularly around the world

In case you haven't noticed we're in England, what they do in Norway is irrelevant. If you seriously believe it's a non event in this country you need to open your eyes. How many smoke bombs/flares do you see taken illegally into Premiership grounds.

Compared to most other countries hardly any although the pyro scene is a bit more frequent in the lower leagues.

When was the last time someone let of a flare at the Etihad?

Imo think they look class and would love to see much more of it in England.

I personally go to the football to watch the match if i want to get involved with the "Pyro Scene" i'll go to a firework display. Do you believe the law will be changed to allow smoke bombs anytime soon?
