Having my first jab this afternoon
112 of us just voted randomly to see the results. Is there any way to view the poll without voting in it?
And as luck would have it, just had my date for the 11th of March. Bumped up the list as an 'unpaid carer' apparently although given I hit 60 at the end of the month , it's not much of a bump. Not me(not had it yet) but the wife had a really bad 48 hours with alternate chills & hot flushes. Also had painful joints and serious fatigue. Not great on top of her usual issues.
Is the 2nd jab a weaker version of it or the same strength? Hopefully the 1st jab will help anyway unless that's not how it works?
Edit: I forgot her headache & sore throat symptoms too.
When the poll closes, I'll post the results.112 of us just voted randomly to see the results.
The voting doesn't reflect your view upto now.No problem with the AZ vaccine at all. I do worry that people like me won't bother to vote as much as those that have a reaction. There's an urge to tell people if you feel unwell. I know lots of people that have had it, mostly with no side effects or occasional sore arm or headache but still hear anecdotes such as the cleaner at my partner's work who was in bed ill for 2 days after. Those of us who didn't notice anything stories are unremarkable. I think we will be able to rely on the official figures as there's millions vaccinated now.
What people don't understand is this is a mass vaccination of an entire population of all ages. Most vaccinations are given when people are young which allows for a very distinct control group when it comes to reporting safety. With these vaccines there is no control group other than every single person in the population and that makes it extremely difficult. No problem with the AZ vaccine at all.
