Not ford but myself and the Mrs have had 10 Vauxhalls between us. Corsa and Insignia B at the moment. As they are pug/Cit now it looks like either a Civic Type R or Audi TT next for me. Just badge engineering these days.

Wow - they have already got shot of the Mondeo now this - It can only mean that the unstoppable rise in the SUV shape is going to make sure all cars do look alike in future or Ford are in financial trouble and want to concentrate on bigger cars which provide more proft.

Maybe just going for a consistent naming protocol. Škoda did it when they got rid of the popular Yeti as for some bizarre reason they wanted all their SUV type cars to start with a K and end with a Q (Kodiaq, Karoq, Kamiq).

All very sad. Toyed with an RS version. But you need to garage them as they are stolen like hot cakes.

Could be - but in the case of Skoda I think it was mad of the VAG parent to bin the Yeti and the Roomster - both popular cars - and just resort to make badge engineered VW suv's with silly made up names. They also dumped the Citigo. Same with FIAT who now just make various iterations of the 500.
