A cynic would suggest they'll save money for a month or two by not paying a "proper" manager and then they'll pick someone up possibly after the transfer window closes so the new manager won't be able to spend anything.

Meanwhile they get lots of positive publicity...

Most clubs that level rarely pay transfer fees.

It is about picking up free transfers after the previous club has paid their severance, so August is very busy. They will be looking to sell a few top earners and pick up freebies in August.

They have a lot of work to do to avoid dropping out of the league.

We have male managers managing female teams so I don't see a problem with this. She has her qualifications including the UEFA licence. I wish her well.

I was in Cheltenham when this happened and would guess that the average age of their supporters was about 16 - very "ultra" in their black outfits until you noticed the bumfluff and pimples!

She's far more qualified than some of the clowns who currently sit on the managerial gravy train.

He has done more harm to the women than good with this stunt.

Utter ****, knew it was a stunt and wouldn’t last but I bet she is feeling like shit right now and that’s not fair.

I guess it depends what conversations were had at the time of taking over?

If it was something like 'will you hold the fort for a bit and then return to your day job and the experience and publicity will do us all good' then fair enough but it's a completely different kettle of fish if he even intimated she would be a candidate for the job if it went well, in which case I think the last couple of posts probably sum it up.

Haven't followed it that closely so not sure which is it's more likely to be.
