Forest v City 1989/90 (Gary Crosby goal)

I was there that day, I think what made it worse was that was pretty much their only chance.

I think we just put it as a “typical city” moment.

Remember it getting heated inside the ground when the goal was given , just another day at the office for typical City :)

I was there behind the goal and another embarrassment. I remember the real officer dibble on the Kippax stood on his stanchion. Great copper and up for a laugh. The Kippax chant "dibble wears suspenders haha ha ha. Good days

I was in the home end for that game(might have been called the Tent end at the time...anyway behind the other goal)and in fairness to the Forrest fans around me none of them thought it should have been a goal. I seem to recall earlier that same season someone had been booked for trying the same thing... I have QPR in my head for some reason

I was at that game and took my then girlfriend who hated football so she went shopping in Nottingham. The relationship was on sticky waters already at this point. Long story short - as a direct result of that goal I got arrested. Didn't get back to see her till about 630-7pm (remember the days of no mobile phones so couldn't tell her where I was). That was the last straw in that relationship so that f++++n cheating goal that cost us a point, also cost me my bird (and she was really fit - I was batting way out of my league at the time)

Watching that clip, it just dawned on me you don't see many goalies bounce the ball anymore before they kick it.

That goal may have saved you £1,000’s in marriage/ then divorce fees silver linings
