Forget Recriminations, how do we sort this mess out?

If it came out that Mancini not only read posts on here but was willing to act on them, I'd want him sacked asap.

Thankfully that isn't the case, he has better things to do.

The arrogance of suggesting that we as football fans have no clue about the game and should keep our mouths shut is astonishing.

Over 30 years of playing and watching the game gives me an entitlement to comment on and suggest a different opinion thanks very much.
Wait! Are you happy feet? Coz I didn't see your opinion

I agree.

Not that we as fans don't know about football, but to be scouring internet fourms for ideas wouldn't be a great a bit daft.

I'm not making a comment about your knowledge etc. but it has brought a Joe Mercer quote to mind...

When a Sheff Utd director told him that his Milkman thought his team selections were wrong Joe exploded: "To Hell with what your milkman says! You pay me all this money to advise you and you listen to your milkman!"

The director then claimed that he'd been watching football for 40 years, Joe said: "My mother-in-law has been sitting alongside my father-in-law watching him drive for 45 years but she still can't drive!"

Football's all about opinions.

Gary i do not for one minute try and suggest i know football like a professional manager does but on the flip side, the comments of "what have you won" or "send in your cv then" are ridiculous.

To suggest that fans know nothing is pathetic, especially when its used as a defence against a particular opinion.

Many other managers wont agree with Bobby either, do they know nothing?

lol ...... END OF THREAD

Re: Roberto read this post by joemercers way

Its simple really, our defence has lost form including Jo, not as solid at set pieces etc. Iam sure it will be addressed but to suggest meltdown and massive finger pointing is a bit childish, its easy to be critical and even easier to be over critical.
But it does make the forum more interesting ;-)

Re: Roberto read this post by joemercers way

woah...wait.

I appreciate if you agree with me but don't want to be made some scapegoat and have one of my posts argued over on a seperate thread.

If you think I know nothing, fine, suit yourself. If you agree with me, great, but my post is in another thread for a reason, so I think, in all honesty, any debate you want to have on it should be in that thread.

BTW Gary, not even a professional(and a legend), knows it all, so you can use any Joe Mercer quote you like(maybe a less narrow-minded one next time) but it means sod all because ultimately you don't know how good somebody is at anything until they've actually tried it.

Opinions are opinions and even if they are against what a manager thinks shouldn't be talked down because said person isn't employed as a manager.

Why not send your CV into City then and get on the coaching staff?

A ridiculous comment, nearly as bad as your first effort on this thread.

Tell me, shall we all just pay our monies, watch the game and come away regardless of results and performances, smile and say nothing?

What can we discuss on here?

Barm or muffin or smashing some fuckers back doors in?

Don't forget the finger up the bottom :O)

As I said in my post I wasn't questioning anyone's knowledge etc. I was just taking the opportunity to post a Joe quote. I ended my point with a line saying that football is all about opinions and that's absolutely true. As supporters we have to give our opinions and - as I've said so many times - no one will ever have all fans agreeing with them on any subject/player etc. That's the beauty of football - it is all about opinions.

to use a quote with a car analogy is daft though, it's completely irrelevant to football in every way.
