Forget Recriminations, how do we sort this mess out?

As I said in my post I wasn't questioning anyone's knowledge etc. I was just taking the opportunity to post a Joe quote. I ended my point with a line saying that football is all about opinions and that's absolutely true. As supporters we have to give our opinions and - as I've said so many times - no one will ever have all fans agreeing with them on any subject/player etc. That's the beauty of football - it is all about opinions.

to use a quote with a car analogy is daft though, it's completely irrelevant to football in every way.

It was Joe Mercer who used the car analogy.

I know, that's why I said "to use a quote with.."

So you were inferring the quote was daft, and that Gary was daft for quoting it.

I think the OP was daft for quoting you.

I was, because I don't think the quote was relevant.

And I agree, this post was in another thread, any critiquing of it should be donw in that thread, as I've already said.

and if you don't agree with it, then fine, at least it was relevant to the topic it was in though.

What Joe Mercer forgot is that whilst his wife can't drive, she is more than capable of pointing out that he has left the indicator on.

Perhaps his wife didn't realise that he's actually about to take the next left, and she didn't realise because she's too busy hoping he'll crash.

I don't think there are many wives who want their husband to crash their car, do you?

Have you never wished the worst, to prove your point?
