Forget Recriminations, how do we sort this mess out?

"If you were to look at the goals conceded, i'm not sure what the problem is, i just think it is mistakes rather than system or set up."

You are not sure what the problem is and then put your finger right on it! The question is how to stop them happening.

Last night somebody forgot their role in stopping a low free kick coming in from the angle and then PV cocked up. At Villa it was Joe's weak save. Joe also cocked up at Leicester.

Maybe the answer is that players who cock up don't get selected?

Optimus, I'm not for a moment suggesting we remove the manager now. And I also believe that we will finish in the top 4. I think my Auntie Anne could get us in the top 4 with the squad we have if I'm honest.

But every club keeps its options open and we certainly should.

I agree we would in pole position should Mourinho become available. But if I were The Sheikh I'd be making a quick call to his agent just to see if he's serious about that.

We have alot more class about us now than that.

Press tripe.

It would be commercially stupid to dismiss a manager without being aware of who would replace him. All the top clubs do it.

A friend I trust told me City put feelers out to someone in October of this year. He didn't tell me who.

Vieira and likewise Jo should not be playing in our first team or considered for the bench.

Vieira doesn't add experience he just makes the players around him more nervous as he is too slow, gets caught in possession and gives the ball away too easily.

As for Hart he also saved a fair few chances last night but I also get the impression that Bobby will bring Given in to give the back 4 (who I think have lost confidence in Joe) a bit more confidence.

Our CB pairing should be Kolo and kompany and as for the width Koralov and Micha provide the width as they overlap the midfield.

DD - I know you aren't suggesting getting rid of him yet, and I think we're actually in agreement about the ultimate course of action for the Club to take.

I suppose I'm just advocating giving Mancini the opportunity to turn the season around before lining up a replacement. As you said - we're excellently positioned in that respect. There is plently of time left, and we're in a vey strong position both in the League and in the 2 Cup competitions.

Mancini sounded at the end of his tether last night, and was openly criticising himself and stating that something drastic needed to be done to change our fortunes. I've never heard him talk like that before, and I think last night was a watershed moment for him. This was a very positive sign for me, and I look forward to seeing how be approaches the next 5 or 6 games.

and it would be commercially and morally stupid to go behind the current managers back when he is doing a good job now.

For me, the issue has always been the midfield 3. If Silva is played at the head of the three, with Yaya and Nige behind him, I think we'd see a massive improvement in the way we play. Barry rarely has a very bad game, but by the same token, Im yet to see him put in an exceptional performnce in a blue shirt. PLaying Silva in a more central role would then enable us to choose 3 from a fully fit 4 of AJ/Balo/Tevez/Dzeko. I understand the fact we have injuries at the moment (and we would of all chosen that midfield last night), but Mancini HAS to trust his more attacking players and loosen up on the overly excessive defensive structure of his midfield. Playing De Jong and Toure off Silva is no different from Modric (with Huddlestone and Palacios) and Cesc (with Song and Wilshere) and arguably Scholes (with Carrick and Fletcher). Mancini's reluctance to change his stance on the midfield 3 and the way we set up, for me, might eventually lose him his job.

Yeah, fair enough, mate. If word got out we were sounding out other managers it would be a catastrophe.

I haven't seen his interview but am intrigued as to what will happen. For all his faults he's always seemed arrogant and single-minded.

A friend I trust at City told me that they are giving Mancini a new contract worth £1 billion a year, and we're about to sign Satan to play up front.

I can do that too.

Are you 12 or something?

No but he is completely intolerant to an opinion he doesn't share, in particular one that dares to criticise Bobby.
