Forget Recriminations, how do we sort this mess out?

A respected person who regularly posts on here was sending out PM's about Mancini being replaced months ago.

It hasn't yet happened but I suppose it could as I know nowt about it myself.

I personally think that Mancini could not be held in higher regard by the board and the owner.

So I would say get used to him being in charge next season unless we miss out on Europe all together.

"this mess" is actually other teams playing their games in hand, picking up points and us sliding "relatively" down the table.

I think we really "clicked" vs a poor Fulham side away...and after that...I'm struggling to think of a game which we really dominated + looked completely in control.

Some scorelines flattered us (e.g. 4-0 vs a pathetic Villa team) and others we deserved more (Bham / Blackburn at home, Sunderland / Villa away) but our plan (A) of give the ball to Tevez / Silva / AJ (if on the pitch) and hope for some magic hasn't really changed all season.

The lack of a coherent attacking plan was not a problem when we were picking up points and contesting the title race, but now that we appear to be falling off the pace a bit: we have no credible pattern or style of football to fall back on.

To back-up Van Persie / Chamakh / Bendtner... Arsenal have the attacking options of Walcott,Arshavin,Nasri,Fabregas,Rosicky + creativity of Wilshere.
To back-up Tevez / Dzeko... we have Silva, an injured AJ...the forward runs of Yaya + creativity of ??? + ???? + ????.

The pressure that our system places on Silva / Tevez to produce chances is intense: if they don't play well we have nothing to fall back on.

I just find it very dumb that Zabaleta gets dropped when to me he is having a wonderful season.. assist and even getting a goal. His crossing isn't that bad either and he knows when to make runs.

Tevez not a good option wide left in a 4231.Silva is best behind the striker. Diamonds dont work in the Prem, at times Birmingham was passing the ball around us making us look silly. We dont have any set formations. Teams have 1 Formation they will use and have a backup. Rags 442 Spuds 442 barca 433 arsenal 433 chelsea 433 Milan 433 .If you ask people what city's formation is they cant give you an answer. We should buy players for our formation. not buy players just to buy then figure out what we could do after we buy them.

If we don't finish in the top 4 and Mancini is not replaced I will lose all faith in the men running our club to do anything other than throw cash at us. All of it. It would be a ludicrous decision and one I don't believe they would be daft enough to make.

But I don't believe we will finish outside the top 4, we've got far too much quality.

A friend I trust at City told me that they are giving Mancini a new contract worth £1 billion a year, and we're about to sign Satan to play up front.

I can do that too.

Are you 12 or something?

No, I'm just not a guy who thinks that I can backup a point by referring to what "my friend at City" told me.

Barring a few people, the majority of City fans DONT have some sort of agenda against Mancini - we respect the fact that hes classy and has won things in the past at other top clubs. People trying to get points and one over on other posters in this Mourinho/Mancini/Hughes slanging match is pathetic, when we all have one thing in common, the success of our club.

What I dont get is that when you have a criticism of the manager/players and you air your views on a forum, you get shot down and called all sorts.

Mancini (along with a lot of other managers), for all his good aspects, has several glaring shortcomings that may well cost him his future at City. If he sorts them out, then great - butif he doesnt, he'll probably be gone by summer.

He just pointed out something he had heard? He hardly started a thread with **MANCINI TO BE SACKED**. Literally said he had heard we had put out some feelers, nowhere did he say it was fact.

You don't have to believe it, it isn't important to the debate.

It was important to your post, you used it to qualify your opinion that all top clubs do it. It isn't about belief, it's about the fact that you're smart enough to actually debate your opinion properly on here, but choose the most aggravating and laziest path possible

start actually playing football again

like vs fulham..after that i cant pick out a game where we have dominated and won with ease
