Forget Recriminations, how do we sort this mess out?

We were pretty open about putting a bid in for him from all reports. It looks as if it was his choice to go to London. I'm left wondering what his choice would have been if we were already in the Champion's League.

That just shows you how it cost us in various markets on not finishing in top 4 last season.

Not finishing in top 4 this year is unthinkable...........................

Well you better start getting used to the thought - and those that blindly backed Mancini have only got themselves to blame.................right now deep down, we'd all put our last pound on both Chelsea and Spurs being above us at the end.
The only good thing will be not suffering Mancini football next year!

Why is Chelsea guaranteed to overtake us then?

No, but I wouldn't bet against it!

Not guaranteed, but I certainly expect both Spurs and Chelsea to finish above us because of the injuries and tiredness that are evident. I'd expect Chelsea will beat us at Stamford Bridge.

We have to play on weds, then on Saturday, and so it continues. The lethargy and injury situation is going to get worse, not better in those circumstances. It's a bit worrying when your own manager says the squad can't cope with this. That's where the pessimism comes from. perhaps he's very carefully managing expectations. But I don't think that's the case. I think he is genuinely worried.

-- Mon Feb 28, 2011 8:59 pm --

I think if we can keep the players we have fit (injuries are obviously out of our hands) and get our 4 or 5 starters back we'll be ok. But f*ck me, will that probably be 2 huge dropped points yesterday.

Along with the two at Stoke, the two at Brum, the two at home to B/burn, the three at home to Everton etc etc. Too many points lost to (at best) average teams.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Luiz ineligible for the Champs League this season and are City not at least as good a bet as Chelsea for a top 4 finish this season?

true about Luiz however Chelsea have the "we've been there, done that" mentality that we evidently don't.
