Forgotten Recent(ish) City Players

Nery Castillo was the first one to come to mind
Also Javier Garrido and those free kicks, Bojinov and those injuries, Rolando Bianchi and that Italian-ness and Wladimir Weiss and thinking he would be world-class.

Got Weiss on the back of my 09/10 shirt thinking in a few years it'll be great looking back being able to say "See, I knew he'd be great".

That went well.

Bill Williams - was a stalwart for Stockport in the mid-80s. City signed him for the 88-89 season and he only played once.

He went back to Stockport and played for them for another five seasons.

I remember a Stockport fan I knew being really pissed off we poached him and he reckoned that he would be the best player in our team!!

The Manchester Evening News always seemed to refer to him as 'Popular' Bill Williams, as if it was his first name. Never could figure why.
