FPL - 2022/23 | City Discussion

Used the old wildcard this week. Wise move I think. Nobody else in my league used it and Ive got 9 games still left to go this week.
 
I unwittingly won my cash league head-to-head match by 2 points literally at the death (just got the “you lucky ****ing bastard” message from my mate I was playing).

I had checked the scores of the PL games when they were in stoppage, seeing that it didn’t look like either Mitoma or Toney (my captain this week) were going to get me the 5 points I needed to just nick a win), and then went off to watch and enjoy Liverpool’s humiliation.

But Toney came through with a 97th minute assist.

Probably had a bet on it.
 
99 points this week. Got 116 last week.
Finally getting good at this but too little too late I think.
 
Taken a 12 point hit next week to get rid of a couple if injured players (Almiron for one) to streangthen my bench, ready for double matchweek bench boost.

Average week this week though, like most I suspect. Only half the teams playing.
 
I've planned my team for next game week and think I'm leaving haaland out.
Got quite a lot of players who have a double game week so want to keep them in so choice between leaving out haaland who plays against Liverpool, kane who plays Everton or martinelli/odergard who play at home to Leeds.
Thinking Liverpool is by far the hardest game out if the three.

I sold haaland this week just gone. Will bring him back after the Liverpool game. Gonna take a -4 for next week and do sanchez and Zinchenko to DDG and Shaw and then bench boost.

Decided to save my two transfers for the next round as I am now first in my cash H2H league and will be playing my mate in second (4 points off the pace).

Which may end up being a mistake, as I am currently drawing the fourth place team (8 points below me), with her having four players left to play (not including the four we share) and me having five players left to play. She captained Watkins (we both have him) and I captained Mitoma (only I have him).

So I have an advantage, but it is slim.
 
I'm currently top of my 24 man league, 34 points clear, 10enner a man, winner takes all.

Taken a -4 this week to prepare for 10 doubles in GW34. FH next week, Zinchenko to Ake 33 and Chilwell to Van Dijk in 34. TC Haaland in 34 and things should be rosie.

Newcastle 5 up. With Trippier, Botman and Schar in my team I hope spurs dont score. With Schar getting two assists this could be a good week.
