FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

I sold Lewis last night, it was a move I was going to make in the next few weeks anyway. That's allowed me to bench Gvardiol at the dippers but he has to go next week as I see him as a minutes risk with his form and now Ake is back.
Gvardiol is also on my bench this week and I'll wait to see what happens. Hoping he will not be needed, though watch him assist Haaland or bang one in from just outside the box.

His attacking numbers are still among the highest of most defenders, and a shame the D overall is in a current shambles. Any rotation on that line at this point wouldn't surprise me.

I had him briefly this week. But in the frenzied flurry of wildcard activity, I moved him on and got Akanji in as my Citeh representation.

I'm torn as to who should be my captain this week. Every ounce of logic screams Salah. Particularly if our defence plays like it did in that last 20 minutes on tuesday night. Salah's granny (no Rooney jokes, if you don't mind) could probably score against us! I just have a feeling that Saka could have a field day against a fairly mediocre West Ham side. I've also got Palmer against a hot and cold Villa to consider

This GW is close and it isn't obvious, no matter what anyone says.

Leaning Palmer, Mbuemo, then Salah at the moment. On Saka, he's much better at home than on the road this year. If one is questioning Mbuemo, look at ALL of his home results this year. That's hard to turn down vs. LEI.

If you go against Salah, you will likely be differential if that is what you are looking to do.

Nothing as deep as that, it's just a hunch. Nothing more. If I was going down the differential route, I'd be looking at Pedro or Mitoma (home to Saints).

Assuming I understand the basic premise of "differential" (a player that relatively few others will captain, thus making a wait for it, difference if he comes good). Also applies to a player with a low percentage ownership. Yeah?

You are correct regarding a differential.

Did you get a dipper defender Jim? Konate might be injured.

I've got Van Dijk. I had just over 2m in the bank so, with selling Young, I had enough to afford VVD. Think I've done with the wildcarding now. This is what I'll be going with this weekend (still got to decide on my captain, though)....

Fabianski, Iwobi, Van Den Berg and Stephens on the bench.

Good team that Jim. I'm getting van dyke myself either tonight or tomorrow before he rises in price.

I suppose you'll be watching the Brighton vs Saints game tonight?

Yeah, I will. Might channel hop from time to time when there's a lull to see how the Blades/Mackems game is going.

Thanks for the tips, by the way.

It doesn't sit comfortably with me, captaining someone who's playing against us. But I'm sticking with Salah for this weekend. He pretty much guarantees goals, particularly when playing against us. It's a pity they don't have a chip where you can have two captains in any single gameweek.
:-(

Anyone heard anything about this "mystery chip" that'll be available in the new year?
