FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

63 with 3 left, including my captain. TAA is an interesting punt for you, hope it pays off, but I do not have confidence in a LIV clean sheet.

Should have gone with Sanchez as FUL wasn't up for keeping that clean sheet, but I was trying to spread out the clean sheet risks over lots of options today.

I also have 15 points currently rotting on the bench as Welbeck > Bowen was a differential alright - a differential to less points.

I currently just hit under 100K, so the goal is there with 27 points to the top 50K in sight. I think you have to be getting close by now too. ;-)

I'm "Glad All Over" that CP won their FA match today, a well deserved result.

I still have 3 players, but I now think there's a strong opinion that GW36 may not be a double as all finalists and their matches no matter what happens tomorrow will have a free midweek. We'll see there. C'mon City tomorrow!
I wouldn't mind TAA falling down the stairs tonight tbh, those 11 points off the bench for Sessegnon would come in handy. I couldn't believe he scored that late goal, expected him to be subbed off way before that going off his previous minutes.

Personally I hope there's no more doubles, my team could be in a right mess in 37 with maybe 6 players blanking and the arsenal vs Newcastle fixture happening as well.

Congrats on getting in the top 100k, and I hope Kluivert gets you a bag full of points tomorrow.

Hope Salah blank's though with not captaining him.

You and me both. I could only laugh and shake my head when Sessegnon nabbed in that late bullet header goal and another 3 bonus points in the 92' of that match. I think I saw my rank drop 7K points on just that one player alone as he was part of the "risky template FH" I was trying to avoid. Him coming through and Wellbeck failing would be a disaster otherwise, but thankfully I had other wins.

I DO think it would take TAA getting an injury for him to not touch the pitch at some point tomorrow. I think he probably starts, and he could also easily score too. I just think the Spurs will find a way to get something, just as they did to NFO earlier this week.

I am not going to move any of my players until I get word as I have 3 CP, 3 NFO, and 3 City. Losing value doesn't concern me anymore at 108.2m, but knowing what is going to happen, who is going to play, who cares and who doesn't, waiting longer for info will be key. Especially as two teams (NFO and BRE) play a match as late as this coming Thursday. Not chancing anything, and hopefully we'll know the plans around the FA final by then.

Thanks, hope it lasts. Kluivert given BOU's opponent was an easy want, but I did feel uneasy playing him ahead of Mbeumo and Bowen. Fingers crossed.

Understand, he's a spy for you as Isak and Cunha both were for me today. My BM H-H opponent captained the latter, but they also took a -16 with a 2nd WC still in their pocket, so who am I to question other's motivations? ;-)

The reason I picked TAA, who I'm not 100% sure will start is that he's one of the few defenders who can get those 15 point haul's and I'm chasing a bit. Spurs also have the biggest game of their season midweek so I'm not sure how committed they will be with the dippers all in to win the league. Hopefully spurs go all spursy in both games.

Completely agree about transfers, it's impossible to plan ahead without knowing what's happening with the fixtures, it's a wait until Friday at the earliest week. If no double is happening I might move Saka to Mbuemo as the former is a waste of space while they are still in the CL

Kluivert will haul, he was in and out of my team, just couldn't get him in without leaving Wood out. Had a good feeling about him all week, as I do with Wood, it was a coin toss.

Looking like I'll end up on 72 pts, assuming Cunha and Sessegnon come off the bench, and that Salah gets a bonus point (joint 3rd at the moment). Wouldn't have been too bad, if I didn't take the -12 hit to get a team out.

51 and 3 to play for me.

Well done on top 100k. Still can't believe I got that hi early in the season. I've since dropped as low as +3m and have recently scraped my way back inside the top 2m. Finishing top 100k would be a great achievement.

Strong opinion has now turned into reality as the City and Crystal Palace GW37 matches originally on Sunday 18 May get moved into the same GW Tuesday 20 May after the FA Cup Final on Saturday 17 May:

So, no more BGWs or DGWs in FPL are on the likely radar given Villa has also blocked the Spurs game on Sunday in GW37 to be moved back into GW36 as well:

Snide from Villa.

Wait all week for the last 3 to play and I get 4 points....

Chalobah sat no1 on my bench with 9 points would have made a big difference.

Should have used my triple captain on Salah all those weeks ago... was hoping for a late DGW to play it but turns out that was stupid.

It's a chip I usually waste even when I put it on someone in form on a double gameweek so nothing unusual.

Got 87pts this week, another strong one and I've won the MOTM and a bit of cash in my mini-league as a result. 2nd overall but with a team that doesn't look too strong for the final 4 games and with only one free transfer.

Top 3 gets money so might need to spend points to make points!

Triple cpt is a gamble. Form is probably better than just waiting on a dbl week.

But that doesn't help you as no clear choice on form right now.

I'm usually an excellent case study for how to blow it! I could pick on form or fixtures and still end up fucking it up. Which is what went through my head and stopped me choosing Salah on that DBL GWK months ago.

Now the fixtures are all confirmed, there's no dbl gameweek left so I'll just have to gamble on someone getting a good haul in a favourable fixture. The majority of people have played it already so it could get me the extra 2pts that I need!

Marmoush captain again scoring nothing, my Capt chip has let me down this season.
After being burned by him in the double blank TC two GW ago, I wasn't going back to the well to see if there was water there.

KDB was considered as a Cap, but having him as a differential alone was good enough for me. Stockport and I will both take the quick start there. ;-)

Marmoush seems to be playing wider than he was before in the last few games, doesn't seem to offer the same goal threat now. I think I've probably got to keep him for Southampton but with Haaland being fit again and wanting to get Wissa in soon I'm unsure which forward to sell, just leaning towards Mateta ATM but haven't made my mind up yet.

Yeah, there's no way I can remove him before Southampton either, but I'm working a plan where 2 of my FWDs depart within the next 2 weeks, all things being equal.

I will wait again until the deadline as I have the funds to bring in both, assuming they stay fit. No reason to move early, as each remaining transfer left with only 3 GWs to plan for deserves patience at this stage of the season.

14 points from two scoring players (Gvardiol and Evanilson). Plus, Cunha (2 pts) will (hopefully) come off the bench for Timber. 7 playing today, and two Palace players tomorrow.

Wissa and Cunha in?

What's the feeling re Pep playing Haaland next weekend against Saints? He was on the bench, but not used, against Wolves. Wissa or Mbuemo, or both, (away at Ipswich) will probably be a better bet. I have the funds to do both (in for Wharton and Cunha).
