France v Germany | Euro 2020 Group Stage

@MCFC1993 While I agree that McCoist - who coincidentally has the same birthdate as me - is an excellent co-commentator, I don’t think Tyldesley is anywhere near the best.

Alistair Mann and Guy Mowbray, for example, are both far better, IMHO.

This should be a cracker of a game. I’m really looking forward to it. No doubt, Ilkay will be involved. Presumably, he will start.

So do I.

And Germany and the Germans.
Only been to Germany once, went to Berlin when the wall was still up, amazing place.
The locals weren't too happy with foreigners splitting up their City and were angry, can't say i blame them.
Saw Hertha v Bayern in the Olympic stadium for a friendly, that was ace for a 14 year old.
Always said i'd go back and see what it's like now but never quite got round to it

I lived in Germany for 18 months, nearest big club was Dortmund, but we spent much of our down time in Bochum.Great country and great memories.

I'll be cheering them on tonight.

I think it was just more relief that it was on ITV and it wasn't Matterface, I'd take Tyldesley every day over him.

I love Berlin.

I first went there in 1993, and the East/West differences were still plain to see. I had a great time.

I visited again in '96, and enjoyed it even more, as I’d learnt some German by then.

I was at Potsdam University from October 2001-February 2002 and I went to Berlin several times, including three trips to the Olympic Stadium to watch Hertha, and one visit to the Alten Försterei to see Union vs. Eintracht Frankfurt.

Went to the Olympic stadium when on a tour of Germany. It was to pay homage to Jesse Owens and loved the honours board. Had a bite to eat and a drink in the stadium cafe and was frankly amazed by the toilets, hundreds of urinals all with a little goalpost containing a smelly thing. The whole tour of Germany was superb loved the country and the people.
