I just don’t jump in with the predictable ‘his a FA yes man’ ‘his clueless’ ‘his a ****’

I like what he’s done for England, building character and spirit with the young lads and I credit him for getting us to major tournament final, SF and QF

I’m not that arsed if he stays or leaves - he’s had 3 tournaments, done very well but I think that’s long enough for any manager.

I do know that whoever England get next will receive the exact same criticism and English fans (on social media/forums) will forever moan and criticise the Manager - it’s a impossible job

I honestly can't think of another English coach who would have bettered or achieved the same as Southgate over the period of his tenure.

He suits international football and the associated part-time coaching role perfectly.

England have won nothing since 1966, and we were somewhat fortunate then. We've been largely anonymous at tournaments over the succeeding years other than a couple of close things.

As you say, it's an impossible job. Anyone who genuinely expects England to win a senior tournament is dreaming. Like him or not, compared to his predecessors, Southgate has done well.

If Morocco had one of the argie forwards they would have won that game . France don’t look that solid at the back

Konate was different class, Kounde rescued France a couple times. Morocco missed chances but it was really good defending by france especially Griezmann

Moroccan fans won’t be on forums wanting the Manager out, debating what better tactics they should have played, what players should have played, where it wrong

They were much the better team
Didn’t take there chances
Been unlucky
And lost. That’s knockout football.

Yes but Morocco we’re happy to get outbid the group, the rest was a bonus, we in the other hand, played too negatively and blew the best chance we ever will have of winning the World Cup again and I’m sorry but it’s on Southgate.
