Francis Lee RIP

My Dad, who was a red, couldn’t stand Franny. Which showed how much he used to hurt them and get up their noses. Enough said, RIP.

RIP Franny, hard as nails, could finish for fun in a time when it was more like roller ball than the game we now, obviously not discounting his ability to win the odd penalty ;-) Absolute legend of the club.

Was fortunate enough to meet Franny whilst having dinner in the Directors dining room vs Chesterfield in September 1998.
Loved his food and red wine.
Rest easy legend.

I just missed him playing for City but what a fantastic player. How we let his talent walk out of Maine Road is utterly mind boggling.

Rip Franny . I met him at a supporters club do when Allan Ball was manager . Really down to earth bloke and top player .

That's great to see. Lucky you. I only saw Franny play once live in 1972 when Marsh made his debut. Later that month when the City team were on a train my Mum and I were on I tried to chase him and Buzzer into the gents god an autograph but it went wrong.
The first City hero of mine and what a player - with he had stayed another year but then we wouldn't have had that iconic goal for Derby and the punch uo with Hunter.
Forward with Franng gave us a great sense of optimism.
Glad he is pain free and hope he rests in peace
