Frank Lampard tells Klopp where to go!

Have always liked Lampard. Remember watching the game against Chelsea where Robinho scored for us but we lost 3-1. I watched Lampard the whole game, and he was just class. His awareness of where players around him were was incredible. Didn't overplay it, just jogged around the pitch picking the ball up and playing it to others in space. Then he'd just find that gap between the midfield and defence to get onto the end of balls into the box.

Was really happy when he signed for City and he's always talked positively about the club so can't fault him at all. Liverpool were diving all over the place, not sure how that was a free kick that led to their 2nd goal. Rightly told Klopp to do one. He should show them his medals before they all get carried away.

Oh Frank you savage. Tbf he did win various things while he was at Chelsea as a player, so I can't blame him.
Met Frank and his missus in Manchester.
An absolute gentleman who loved the way he was respected and treated in Manchester.
Made the most of his talent and played with passion and a tough streak.
I had an electrician who was a massive City fan come to my house and he'd worked for a few footballers. Lampard was one of them. I think he had a second home up here.

Agreed.watched him closely against City at Stamford bridge a few years ago and was amazed at how one of the most dangerous players on the pitch always managed to be completely unmarked ,in acres of space, waiting to receive the ball..he was a master at this, reminded me of Peter Beardsley against City at St james years ago...again drifted into acres of space, reading the game superbly.

The more i get to know about Frank Lampard , the more i like him. A great professional player, put in 100% when he was with us and liked by the fans of the clubs he has played for. Rare amongst footballers, he has a brain, is well educated and is honest. His father was a class player and it's obvious that he was raised well by his parents. He congratulated Liverpool but then put things into perspective, well done. He's endorsed what most feel about Liverpool and echoes what was self evident when they strutted onto the pitch at the Etihad. I don't mind losing out to other teams, it's all part of sport but you need to be gracious . This Liverpool team are coming up short . The fans, the club, player and manager .

Agreed. His Achilles heel was/is that incident after 9/11, but other than that, he hasn’t put a foot wrong.

One thing that stood out for me during his time at city was his head never stopped moving. Despite not having great pace especially at city he always knew where everyone was on the pitch

I'm sure I read Klopp is distraught at this. Hasnt slept a wink since and has brought in a motivational coach to get him back on his feet. Some say he's on anti depressants. I wouldn't be surprised. Poor soul. Getting swore at, at the football?

Where will the madness end?

Strange bunch aren`t we footie fans.I can think back to many BM Match Day threads and the hate coming from this site to "Fat Frank" was unbelievable. As soon as he signs for us then he`s the greatest player.
Wonderful player and by all accounts from those Blue Mooners who have actually met him,all say the same thing ... and absolute gentleman. He certainly only had positive things to say about City even when he left.

Although I’d always admired Frank as a footballer, I’d never had much of an opinion of him as a person either way until his last game for us, when he took the microphone after the presentation to him.

He started with "I’ve been a lucky boy," and went on to give a very humble speech and thanked everybody, who had helped him in his career.

Good for him for telling Klippety and the Kopites some home truths. I hope a few more have the backbone to do likewise next season.
