fred eyre on talksport now

Gleghorn and Eyre understand the game, that's why they are paid to be pundits and you are not paid to type one-eyed shite on a forum.

I don't like Nigel Gleghorn. I think it's partly because he's not a City fan & was shite, so I don't know why he's got the job, but I also don't think he ever says anything that isn't the bleeding obvious. That whole phone in seems to be social work/therapy for mentally sub normal people anyway.

Re Fred Ayre; usually a doom laden sod as a commentator but great sense of humour otherwise & great to listen to. Even Fred was getting a bit optimistic today. Wonders never cease.

Really Gleghorn gets right on my tits the mackem twat, whenever he is commentating on City he is always on there backs about something and talks as so he was a decent player,no you wasnt nigel

I've never heard him commentate because I'm always there but I listen to him on the way home and he gets it right most of the time.

I would imagine the Bluemoon Commando Faction want a co-commentator who waves a banana, sings "We're not really here" and abuses the away fans throughout the game.

yeh im always at the game as well and listen to what he as to say on the way home as well so im pressuming we listen to the same shite that comes out of his gob,and yes i expect to hear decent things coming out of it,i never here fred eyre slagging us off when he is on there
Respect to Fred.
Gleghorn on the other hand rarely does anything other than repeat a few well worn clichés (again and again and ag...), awful pundit.

I'd agree that Gleghorn's weakness (apart from a slightly dour delivery) is a tendancy to repeat the same point to every caller.

But he does call it right, and that's the most important thing to me.

Undoubtedly he is very knowledgeable about football and City, but I cannot be doing with his punditry. Sure, you're not going to agree with everything, but that dour style of delivery just makes me really depressed. Even when he praises City, his delivery makes it sound like criticism. Reminds me of Marvin from Hitch Hikers Guide (tv series).

He makes Geoff Boycott seem like Timmy Mallet.

Gleghorn was heard calling our beloved Blues some thing awfull during the away game at Stoke last year, reason being he was the pundit for radio Stoke or what ever its equivalent is SPLITTER

Fred Eyre is the worst pundit I have ever heard! A city fan? Blimey you would think he was a closet rag if you didn't know.

He's like my dad in some respects in that he's hypercritical of them at times. I don't want Fred singing WNRH, waving a banana or fighting with the away fans; but it would be nice to hear some excitement in his voice given some of the scintillating stuff we've played.

I can imagine the commentary now when Aguero scored that screamer vs Swansea:

Cheesy: Aguero with a shot! Oooooohhhh what wonderful strike...

Fred: Aye, he's done well with the ball there, but to be fair he should be looking to lay a pass off in that position Ian...

...yet last season kept going on about a full back called BoatAng, and this season about an Argentine striker called AguerA...

Hahahahahaha it was only a matter of time before he got called "a rag".

We are the Bluemoon Keyboard Rebels.

You're a rag until proven innocent.

He does Radio Stoke as well as Radio Manchester. Listened to him while waiting to get out of the car park on a couple of our previous visits and he never stops slagging City off, calling our players mercenaries with no team spirit.
Ironic given that he is clearly the biggest mercenary of all, whoring his opinions to suit whoever is paying him. He is a shameless shill and a stooge.

We are all entitled to our opinions! He's obviously not to everyone's taste. It's true he doesnt put a glossy shine on things if we are playing badly.
However I admire his honesty, expertise and experience. He is a true blue.

Gleghorn was a better keeper than in midfield, but credit where it is due was better
in midfield than as a radio pundit.

Very similar to the majority of media & some dismal posters on here

Short sighted with little or no idea in building a winning team, learn to defend first then be expansive.

Listened on the way home on Saturday for 1st time this season like listening
to him over the road always knows that will happen after its happened.

We would not be where we are now if he had got what he wanted last year which was
Mancini out.

Fred Eyre is fantastic, I can't agree on Gleghorn though, he's a tosspot.

If the majority on here agreed with me I'd know something was badly wrong.

Yeah, someone would think you put City first rather than being contrary.

You got it right on Mancini right 100% though eh. You knew better than the majority.

Oh hang on....

You calling me "contrary" is like Jordan calling someone "false".

Let's see how this season pans out.

So far, so good...
