I guess it depends on what one means by challenge. We were well on our way to being champions without him. So in terms of winning a trophy, United was the real challenge.The reality is City was in many ways a bigger challenge and he seemed to prefer United because he’d probably get more game time. Maureen might be a twat but playing for Pep is a harder gig.
In terms of playing time, I think he'd have gotten similar preferential treatment here as he did there. But I could be wrong. The preferential treatment wouldn't have lasted as long though. So there is that.
