Wow that's a long trip without a leg stretch, ability to buy a coffee/food, get some fresh air or have a smoke etc.

Drivers hours rules.
9 hours per day - can be extended to 10 hours twice in any one fixed week. 45 minutes after 4½ hours driving; can be split into 2 - the first of 15 minutes, the second of 30 minutes. Breaks must be used exclusively for "recuperation" but can be taken as a passenger in a moving coach

Made it a lot quicker getting on the coaches though we only waited about 30 mins to get on.

I haven’t been on a bus or coach since I made the mistake of leaving the seat next to me empty when on a bus on Birmingham and a stinking of piss old tramp got on and sat next to me for 20 mins! Never again.

I'm experiencing the same now, humming ! Now I know why I usually drive down.
Could be worse, I remember sitting next to an old biddy on a 10hr flight to Cuba, hadn't changed her drawers in months, the ammonia wreaked havoc with my nose and throat.
