Free the steak pie 1

I think some stewards are like refs who have a yellow card waiting for a player before kick off - some stewards will feel they've only done the job properly if they kick some out!

I must say we in CBL3 323 are blessed with stewards. I've not been asked to tone it down or led out and there hasn't been a ref who's come to the Etihad that I haven't called a fuckin' cheatin' bastard!

I got kicked out last season before the Newcastle game. I’d had a dispute with a member of the food section. When I went back to my seat a steward asked what had happened , he explained that I’d swore ( which I hadn’t ) and took their word for it.

Anyway when the club emailed to give me a warning. The email claimed I’d swore at a steward. These feckers are so lazy to write a report, they say what they want.

So I phoned the club up, and explained my side. I haven’t seen that steward since

Earlier today, a member of hotel staff asked me where the Lint Rollers are, it immediately struck me that this would be a great band name, perhaps 'Hoppy and the Lint Rollers'?

I said I had no idea where the lint rollers were, and told them that I didn't actually work in the hotel.

Stewards started getting a bit tetchy with him & he said he just wanted to watch the game, wasn’t drinking or causing any safety issues, and to my knowledge wasn’t being lairy or anything, for reasons unknown he decided that was the hill, told the steward to get his boss as he couldn’t/wouldn't answer why he was asking him to move.
He told me the steward sneakily elbowed him, so he asked him to back up and said not to touch him, he was then surrounded by several stewards & asked to leave, he stood his ground & asked for a reason why (he wasn’t standing in the box at this time, he’d moved out of it) and they wouldn’t give him one.
Then the police got involved and the steward played the old ‘he’s been abusive to staff card’ after 10 minutes of back & forwards.
In the end he just gave up & walked, he’s told me he can’t be assed anymore & he’s chucking it in, I told him it was all a bit silly & he’ll be back next game, but he’s adamant he’s done, me…I would’ve just moved, no sense in getting chucked out of a big game for that

Having presumably eaten at halftime he decided to have just one more pie in the 5 minutes you were giving 3 inches of water time to settle?
 
All food and drink should be banned from inside the stadium.

Just a fucking nuisance these cunts wanting to chow down on burger and chips whilst other normal folk are trying to watch the match, don't get me started on those that position their drinks by their feet leading to them being knocked over by fellow fat cunts who can't go half hour without a pie...

Anyway, your BIL should have just moved, sounds like a bit of a moron.

I spoke to him yesterday & he said it was a silly thing to do, but he was literally stood 1ft inside the box as far away from the exit as possible, with barely anyone else around, the steward was a bit chippy with him so he bit back.
Said he was sick of modern football & all the rules & regs and sanitisation of it, and is definitely chucking it in.
I asked him what was said, and he just asked why he had to move, steward came back with “because I said so” he knew things where gonna escalate, so he asked for his boss, he pointed out there was no signs above the exit & understood it was a law regarding alcohol & viewing the pitch, and also an exit/entrance, and asked for the reasons why he was asked to leave, said he wasn’t leaving until they gave him one, after 10 minutes they just said he’d been abusive, so off he popped knowing he was on a loss.
Nonsense all round, he could of at least highlighted the 500 GA+ fan evictions:)

I’ve stayed and watched the highlights of the game on the screens inside the bowl of the stadium after the game since screens were installed. Loads of others near me do the same.

A few of times each season, you get a random steward coming over demanding we leave the stadium. I used to say ‘I will do when I’ve watched the highlights mate’ but it leads to a conversation and argument (‘go to the concourse’ ‘but if they didn’t want us to watch the highlights of the game here, they wouldn’t put them on the screens’ ‘you need to leave’ ‘but I’ve been doing this for decades fella’ ‘don’t care you need to leave now’ blah blah blah) which makes me miss the highlights.

So now if it ever happens I just completely blank them until the highlights have finished and say ‘I’m on my way now, thanks’.
