"Freedom" marches/rallies

That would be the Omicron that is the dominant variant that has us today reporting 66,600+ new cases and 206 deaths? If anything you make the point for continued restrictions
the cases are irrelevant and have been since we shut the Nightingale Hospitals, it is just a big number to scare children, how many beds are full is important and they are not all being used, 206 deaths is still less than the average Flu deaths at this time of year, Obesity killed more than COVID are we going to make everybody with a high BMI do a hundred star jumps before entering all premises?

They are also the first Country that returned to normal cancelling COVID restrictions, that took guts in the face of the powerful chemical companies, they also had the first newspaper to apologize to the public over not questioning the figures,
Again they still have mandates for wearing face masks at Hospitals, GPs, Care home sand Airports. They have restrictions and mandatory quarantine for unvaccinated non Danish citizens/residents and they haven't ruled out restrictions coming back, like they did when the third wave hit them last time.

The reason for them being able to remove the restrictions again is due to their high vaccination rates, that the restrictions on movement and mandated vaccine passes was working and that they have a world class health care system that can currently cope with the cases requiring hospitalisation.

The paper that apologised is, I believe, known for being sensationalist. It has apologised for not asking questions that reporters in other countries (and perhaps even in other Danish media outlets) had already asked regarding the reporting of Covid19 hospitalisation numbers.

So the Danish people have no restrictions except masks at health venues and Airports?

Unless things have changed in the last 48hrs then yes (I'm not sure on the rules of social distancing at these places).

As I explained before, they are very well placed to lift the majority of thier restrictions. The majority of other countries are not.

I'd pay to see that. Perhaps fat fans could do their start jumps along the pitch perimeter at half-time; it would be an improvement on current half-time entertainment.

COVID now accounts for less than 5% of daily deaths at a time when we've seen the most cases of the pandemic so on that evidence it's basically over.

We no longer really have a COVID pandemic but instead we've replaced it with a deaths of all other causes pandemic.... Which is being caused by the COVID pandemic......

If we can afford £30 per LFT test to test people who aren't ill then why can't we redirect that money to treat people who are ill?

The headlong rush to abandon everything will initially see improvements that are inevitable due to the spring then summer when seasonal respiratory diseases decrease dramatically but run the risk - especially with the chance of a further variant appearing - cases and deaths rising into the autumn and so further lockdowns - but hey Freedom eh?

Happening in a number of locations across the globe - this bunch in Canada are flying Trump flags ffs - its R/W extremist bullshit - for me the easiest way to stop it is to block them in - they will run out of patience and diesel eventually then just keep them there and impound their trucks, their way of making a living, as they slope off tail between their legs. The selfishness of their actions is clear and I am sure that the population at large will support the authorities.

They aren't and they don't. The media barely covering it tells you how political and ideological, rather than scientific, current policy is.

Still approx 1500 deaths a week and that’s after the virus has already killed off many of our old or infirm.

This is very much political, getting the country open and the economy going. ‘Let them pile 10,000 high’ was the aim all along, the fact that our depleted NHS got in the way of this was nothing more than an inconvenience for this government.
